Weekly Commentary: The close of the eligibility window is fast approaching.
HBO is dominating the headlines at the moment with the final seasons of the drama Succession and the comedy Barry. Their limited series slate is about to add excitement with the upcoming Love Death with Elizabeth Olsen and Jesse Plemons and White House Plumbers with Woody Harrelson and Justin Theroux.
News of category submissions is flooding the season such as The Problem with Jon Stewart having to compete in talk series, HBO submitting A Black Lady Sketch Show for 30 categories and Marlee Matlin being put up for directing an episode of the Fox anthology crime series Accused, alongside Michael Chiklis, also a lead actor hopeful.
The ranked charts for supporting actress (drama) and supporting actor (limited) have been released. Down below, you can see the alphabetical first guesses for outstanding animated program, directing (variety series), documentary or nonfiction series, documentary or nonfiction special and hosted nonfiction series or special.

About the Primetime Emmy Awards The Primetime Emmy Awards, better known as the Emmys, are given out by the Academy of Television Arts Sciences (ATAS). Since 1949, the awards have recognized excellence in American primetime television programming. They are divided into three classes Primetime Emmy Awards, the Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards (honors artisan achievements), and the Primetime Engineering Emmy Awards (recognizes significant engineering and technological contributions). The typical eligibility period is between June 1 and May 31 of any given year. The Television Academy comprises over 25,000 members, representing 30 professional peer groups, including performers, directors, producers, art directors, artisans, and executives.
