Didn't these guys break up ages ago What with the departure of that guy from Rancid, and the one from Billy Club, and so on, how could there possibly be any band members left Think of U.K. Subs as a hydra that grows new members quickly and easily the moment one leaves. Occupied picks up where U.K. Subs left off, and that was playing in the tradition of the now-resurgent '77 British punk sound. Simplistic, monotonous and sometimes reggae-tinged, the songs are all easy to get a handle on both musically and lyrically. There's not much in the way of solos, but that's never been a reason to dislike a band. Occupied is full of charm, and no matter how pissed off the music and lyrics make the members seem, they always sound like they're having a good time. It's party-rock for the downtrodden revolutionary.
