Give me a drink of railroad water;
Give me some railroad water to drink.
I like summer because it is warm in the summertime,
Winter is sweet to me due to the frozen windows,
I can't be seen through the window, and the snow covered traces.
When I was younger, I put everything in the world in places;
When I was younger, I put all the world in order.
Now I drink my wine, I eat my cheese,
I roll on inclined surface but I don't know, either up or down,
I'm standing on a hill and I don't know, here or there.
We knew each other, I heard that this is a fact;
We knew each other, I heard that this is a fact.
But today your brain is buzzing as a milling tool;
Too much light is here, and you can't see anybody's eyes,
But here I'm singing, can you catch my rythm?
There're those who believe
and those who look out of the lodges.
And even I'm sure that sometimes I can see the lies.
But when you'll wake up, hide your fright:
It was not a ghost, it was only the sound;
This train has departed, the train you will never catch.
So give me a drink of railroad water;
Give me some railroad water to drink.
I've written this song at the end of December,
Laying naked in the snow, under the light of full Moon,
But if you can hear me, perhaps it was not in vain.
