A wolf has entered among our sheep, has eaten our crop and lambs
Thieves entered our tavern, raiding our homes
Sedition entered among us, causing trouble in our families,
The enemy entered our square, divided our homeland,
Blunted our minds, narrowed our world,
They gave us their names, so that we could become servants
Eating with our labour, and this is our situation
Our aspiration is to become a state,
They say you will not become a nation, -
Without freedom and without a state, just us Kurds
You don't have a history, you are Persian, Arabs
Or Turkish, and you are different1, you don't have the basis
They say Zazakî is not Kurdish,
If neither Sorani, Lorani or Gorî2 are Kurdish, what is?
You are not one homogeneous religiously,
Neither Islamic or Christian,
Nor Zoroastrian, Jewish, Alawite3 or Sunni.
My people, my heart, with confidence
They lie, with failure,
They spill blood of humans,
What does their religion mean for them
When will the Kurds have their freedom
Fratricide4 has begun
All Kurds are again miserable
Oppressed, deteriorated, no one saves them
Is this the unity of the Kurds.
Zebarî and Mizurine, Dostkî. Sîndî and Berwarî.
Hewramî and Babaî, say and Berkî and Berzencî
Hekarî and Erdelanî and Zengenî
Şikakî and Begzadî, Remî, Elkî and Zîlanî
Pencînarî and Sîlîvî, Bertî, Jirkî and Reskotî
Omerî and Canbegî, Mîlî, Sexî and Keregecî
Sînemîlî and Berazî, Mutkî, Hesenî and Heydarî
Kawi, Hackî and lolo, they are all enemies5
Oh defender, oh help
Without fault, without
We won't wish it on anyone
All Kurds! Every Arab sheikh, African tribe,
Every Turkish tribe agree on being a nation, become a state
But forty million Kurds don't have rights and justice
Come on, give each other strength, don't stop, work, study
Sow the sees of life, we will take our rights
If we strive and stand straight, difficulties will be overcomed
We are a nation, become a nation.
