Careful steps, quietly hiding under the ice
Softly treading winter crooned my house to sleep
Tossed pearls around the limitless skies
Covered shivering woods with a crystal shawl
With white sprinkling snow will fall, bending down
Under the sheer silver is soft flutter of her lashes
Will bewitch, will sing songs of amazing beauty
And, spent by the morning, she will cover her tracks with a blizzard.
Everything will be forgotten with the summer thunderstorms
And life will churn on without hurry
There is no more girl with long braids,
Only a soul is quietly crying.
Suddenly she will quietly slip, like a hostess, into my world
Silently will glance into my eyes and sit down at the doorstep.
"Why is it so painful,' - I will ask - "Where under my heart is ice?"
She'll smile and answer "Wait it out, everything shall pass"
Everything will be forgotten with the summer thunderstorms
And life will churn on without hurry
There is no more girl with long braids,
Only the soul is quietly crying.
They will not alert my sleep, won't close in on me in the crowds
Passing visions of you
And my dreams will grow mute in the restless sorrow
Like flickers fading in the palm of my hand
Everything will be forgotten with the summer thunderstorms
And life will churn on without hurry
There is no more girl with long braids,
Only the soul is quietly crying. (2 times)
