Ukonhauta [English translation]

Big guys keep touching their

Cell phones, laptops

Like their willies

In street cafes, restaurants

They sway like haymen1

Even if there's no field to be seen

And the big guy is in panic

When a beautiful woman asks for light

Man's grave!

In the dimness of electric sauna

Rubs his skin too much

Almost until it bleeds

When trying to wash his shame away

Loves but doesn't say it

Doesn't apologize, doesn't beg

Lives like a living dead

Wake up man, take your TV and go!

Man's grave!

A man is an inconsolable sight like a grave or

Like a Saturday without wife, sauna and a bottle

Man's grave!

Moments of happiness only

In a dream or when drunk

When wriggling above a woman

Mouth is shut but the man screams

It's so fucking fun

That at last we die laughing

An endless line of men

Slithers like a snake to the grove of Underworld

Man's grave!

A man is an inconsolable…

- like an overgrown path or a road

Which leads to the ruins of childhood

No matter is it woman's arms or a road

Both take us to the same address:

Man's grave!

Why can you never reach out your hands

At least to a juniper, when you reach out to a spruce?2

Man's grave!

1. "Heilua kuin heinämies" is a saying and it pretty much refers to someone who, for example, flails around unnecessarily.2. This refers to "Joka kuuseen kurkottaa, se katajaan kapsahtaa" which is another saying, meaning that if you reach out to a spruce, you will just fall on a juniper. Basically it is better not to try to reach out for something very good (like if you have a very ambitious dream) because you won't get it anyway or it won't end that well.
