In common times there lives a fair lass in thy eyes
Though in peculiar structure a head with two faces
From within one side pour forth truth and the other lies
Tis not rare to find within many these traces
Forth cometh goodness and words of kindness be
A lowly soul travels upward in spoken ways of hers
Eyes that soften mortal blows and smiles that I see
This side is precious and tenderly soft as finest furs
Tis well to know well this one viewed full enough
To see the other is pain and fortune's end
The candle of faith and hope eagerly snuff
Evil messages to thy brain she will then send
For her heart may quake and no other known
Unlike the good that knows only they, it surrounds
In her midst no humane quality is her own
Hate pours forth from the heart as it pounds
No smile, no comfort in staring eyes I watch
Tis difficult to admire this creature so low
So cold, so hard as if ice to the touch
When harvested in barren depths far below
If I look only on the good side without
Not the bad side that ebbs deep within
Her real soul then I cannot try to rout
To do so would be my great life sin
She is indeed good but leave well done
The bad and stay clear its uncontrolled wrath
At all innocense it will attempt to stone
While you live in pain the demon will laugh
