From the first breath to the last,
He stood for Sparta.
Courageously he reigned beneath the stars.
Victorious was the great Leonidas,
The king who ruled an army and served the gods.
So proud I was born to be Spartan.
They ride over fire they face,
They carry the weight of Leonidas,
The bravest they fight to the grave.
Can a saviour now be found within the city?
They hope the mighty spear will rise again.
Sparta needs a new leader to believe in,
A legend to build an army and to defend.
But where will the next hero come from?
With eyes to the heavens they pray;
With hope in their hearts they are waiting,
They’re waiting for that special day.
