Switched off at one, woke up at three:
The full moon burned you from inside.
The corner pharmacy lights are still on
And you keep on driving.
You'd wish to drink it to the brim,
You are trying but are unable to fall,
And someone inside you says: it's bliss,
Or it is just your mind wandering.
Taste of blood's left you speechless,
And water is rising up to eyebrows.
It's right here the Fiery Herald has fallen,
And today is the same Wednesday once more.
Isis, keep and protect you!
You approach someone to just say: Hello,
And suddenly realize, everything is ethereal.
And strangers are watching you pass
With ridicule.
Snow storm is hitting streets in summer time,
Wind gusts are ripping doors from the hinges.
And the refuge where your bed used to be
Is a pit with a rope now.
So, having soared against all their rules,
Having cut the wires with your wing,
You again end up where everyone has to sleep,
Where every day is as always the same.
May Isis keep and protect you!
Everyone is talking but missing the point.
This room is made from flimsy cardboard
And you are looking around:
Can nobody really hear it?
Then viewpoint is changed: you are behind glass
And your friends in a coach of a train car
Are leaving not even knowing
That you have stepped out.
When you are left alone on a platform,
Having fallen from delta of cozy nest,
You are now ready for spiritual journey
But you simply don't need it anymore.
Isis, keep and protect you!
You have heard that somewhere beyond the rush hour,
On the altar or in the list of ancient books
There is a language unknown to you
In which
Everything has been said that you ever wanted to know,
Everything that you were afraid to even admit to yourself,
And that's why all saints are now watching you
With reproach.
Stop pretending you can't understand them.
You are forever alone on this path.
Smile, melt away in rustling of tree leaves,
In whisper of summer time ice.
Isis, keep and protect you!
