How I'd love to see Syracuse
Easter Island and Kairouan
And the seabirds getting
amused
By hovering up in the wind
To see the Babylon Gardens
To see the Great Lama's palace
To dream of lovers in Verona
While being atop mount Fuji.
To see the peaceful morning Land
To fish with a tame cormorant
And to get tipsy with palm-wine
Just hearing the wind moan and whine
Before my youth is gone and used
Before my springs go all amiss,
How I'd love to see Syracuse
To remember it in Paris.
