Suzanne takes you,
to a seat by the water
a thousand ships pass by
and yet it doen't get later
and you know that she is awesome
'cause that's why you're sitting next to her
and she gives you mints
because she likes to give you something touchable
and just as you want to tell her:
"I can't give you love"
the whole city comes to life and you hear
the gulls scream
you've always loved her
and you do want to come with her
together to the other side
and you do have to trust her
because she holds all your thoughts in her hand
And Jesus was a fisherman
who trusted the water that much
that he just walked on the sea
because he had learned to love
the waves and the surf
in which no one can drown
he said: "if man continues to have faith,
the heaviest stone can't sink"
but heaven only opened
when his body had broken
and how he suffered
only that fisherman on the cross knows
and you do want to come with him
together to the other side
and you do have to trust him
because he holds all your thoughts in his hand
Suzanne takes you,
to a seat by the water
you remember to where she looks
as a memory for later
and the sunlight seems like honey
which kids enjoy
and the grass is covered with what
humans throw away
in the gutter lie the heroes
with a smile on the lips
and the gulls in the sky
seem like lost dots
when Suzanne looks at you smiling
and you do want to come with her
togheter to the other side
and you do have to trust her
because she holds all your thoughts in her hand
