Earth stands still
but sometimes loud and shrill
Thus it opens its mouth
a glowing waterfall
pours lava into the valley
devours every house to the ground
What man accomplishes
The fruits of his strength
A death united them
What he wrestled from nature
what he forced into being
is silent for years and lies in stone
Stones! Stones!
They scream, when all is silent
Stones! Stones!
They scream until the day shows itself
The man, he keeps quiet
until he doesn't want to any longer
Thus he opens his mouth
He walks out of his night
He walks into his slaughter
Tears the world to the ground
Where one still harasses him
and where one still hangs him
puts him upon whitewashed walls
That won't be forever
Soon he lifts up the stone
Usurps his world
