Souvenir, souvenir [English translation]

Her existence is volatile

Almost all men1 are merely guests to her

They feel only half at home with her

She swallows them up, and she spits them out

What she awakens in me is indecent

I don’t have a clean slate

I do what she demands with pleasure

I always hope that she will thank me

Quickly familiar

and ours

completely2

No way back,

You’ll become a part

of inventory

Souvenir, Souvenir

A little piece of you will stay with us

Souvenir, Souvenir

We’ll incorporate it into the collection

Often it happens involuntarily

It is more than right and proper

You deserve it, and yet I can

Never satisfy her craving!

Souvenir, Souvenir.

Everyone would like to lie with her

Yet none want to stay with her forever

Only I am here and I am eternally faithful

With me alone, does she show no reservations

I am always mercilessly discreet

And very eager to show her my worth

I listen to what she whispers in my ears...

She dispatches me, I provide her what she needs!

Whoever was with us

Belongs to us through

hair and skin3

Never alone

Stowed away in heart and in

shrine

Souvenir, Souvenir

A little piece of you will stay with us

Souvenir, Souvenir

We’ll incorporate it into the collection

Often it happens involuntarily

It is more than right and proper

You deserve it, and yet I can

Never satisfy her craving!

Souvenir, Souvenir.

Souvenir, Souvenir.

Souvenir, Souvenir.Aaah.

Souvenir, Souvenir.Aaah.

Souvenir, Souvenir.Aaah.

Souvenir, Souvenir.Aaah.

Souvenir, Souvenir

A little piece of you will stay with us

Souvenir, Souvenir

We’ll incorporate it into the collection

Often it happens involuntarily

It is more than right and proper

You deserve it, and yet I can

Never satisfy her craving!

Souvenir, Souvenir.Aaah.

Souvenir, Souvenir.Aaah.

Souvenir, Souvenir.

1. or 'people' but I chose to translate as 'men' because the lyrical I seems to be comparing himself to other men in a romantic context2. idiom used here to mean entirely/completely, "with skin and hair".3. at first glance this appears to be a second use of an idiom, but the first time while it followed the typical format of 'with skin and hair' and would easily be assumed to mean 'completely', this time it says 'through hair and skin' which leads one to take it literally. Music videos by ASP reinforce this interpretation.
