I'd love to be a small sunbeam
A small flash of light, of light on the horizon
A good-mood-bringer, a messenger of peace and
A speaker of joy, a sender of happiness, a smile without reason
I'd love to be a small colorful fish
A fin-swayser, watter-splasher full of lust for living
A hedonist, a luck-enjoyer, living for the moment
Planned diversion from your problem
I'd love to be a huge, green, strong tree
A mountain, a rock in storm and surge, warm secure shelter
A strong shoulder, giver of comfort
A support, security, trust for all times
I would then follow you, always light your ways
Chase all shadows away, remove all obstacles
And when everything's gray in your soul
I would be the only color blot, dawn of hope just for you
But to my regret I will be none of this
Because I am totally normal and simply lucky
That you find something in me, so at least I try
To steal a bit of the sunbeam, the fish, the tree for you
