is such a cold city when winter sets in

alone and the year ends soon

such a colourful city and you feel a grayness

a quick love slowly turns you numb

Being alone for such a long time

I turn the lights out with a kiss

and you can be silent and I might understand each tear

I turn the city off to silence

the quiet lets us hear more

you mustn't say anything

it might disturb the September drabness

Such a gloomy city when it rains

but this noisy city breaks your heart

the drabness conquers your will for you will never leave.
