In this old street where I spent my childhood
They used to live in an old tile red colored woodenhouse
Mrs.Sakız and Mr.Mahur
Mrs.Sakız used to have white skin and white hair
That's why we called her Mrs.Sakız*
She used to play kemancha** with her cottony hands
Initially her husband Mr.Mahur had behaved coquettishly
Then he used to accompany Mrs.Sakız with his cither
They used to practice together
Curtains were being opened in summer nights
Tunes were being played by their tired hands
It's been almost 2 years since the cither became silent
And after couple months later kemancha became silent
And the curtains of tile red colored woodenhouse
And they were being closed as they are not gonna be opened again
I went there when the rumors spread about the house is gonna sale
When I went inside, on an old sofa
I saw a sorrowful cither
And I saw distressed kemancha lying on the cither's chest
They were be like ' do not disturb us'
I wasn't able to spare
Then I went away
Curtains were closed when Mr.Mahur became silent
Sorrowful tunes were ended with Mrs.Sakız
