Yesterday the sun was much bigger than usual
and the light was much brighter, too
So I got more energy
and I walked faster automatically
I wanted to visit an old friend
but on my way I remembered
that we are not friends anymore,
so I rather did not do it.
And the sun shone so strongly
so my reason burned
And it asked - what is more dangerous,
racist police or Sahara sand?
Hmmmm, Sahara sand...
What kind of comparison is that even,
that sounds so brain-fried.
Are there such police
in our homeland?
And if there are they don't do me harm
because I'm far too white
for me the sun is more dangerous,
that's the proof.
And I wiped the sweat
from my forehead with one hand
And it asked - what is more dangerous,
racist police or Sahara sand?
Hmmmm, Sahara sand...
I just looked at my hand,
it had never talked before.
Why had it broken its silence
right now?
And then I remembered the black man
who burned up in a cell,
that was such a strange accident
that nobody knew it yet.
He caught fire on a plank bed
chained in our land
And I asked - what is more dangerous,
racist police or Sahara sand?
Racist police or Sahara sand?
