Over us, grass grows1
It's all shards - you see glass
Your handshake is now strong and heavy
I saw red - now I don't see anything
I saw red - now I don't see you anymore
Above us, a false star
I've been chewing on the core forever
It will scarcely move self-sufficiently
I saw red - now I don't see anything
I saw red - now I don't see you anymore
1. I think this is a play on the German idiom 'wait until the grass grows over it' basically meaning 'wait until this stressful/significant thing has cooled down (become less significant)'. This line may be best interpreted as 'we've cooled down'. Or 'our relationship has cooled down'
