Rashid and Jamal, friends from day one
The world is unfair, my friend, this may be
But the two of them, they’re there for each other
Dreamteam, they could not make it without each other
Rashid lives with 8 siblings under one roof
A good boy who rarely gets into trouble
He plays soccer in a high division
And dreams about a career as a professional player
Because he wants his children to lead a better life once
Live at a better place and sleep better
His friend Jamal is quite the contrary
He lives with his mother and partly in a care center
Because Jamal’s mother is not at all the best
She changes the men more often than her underwear
With every man visiting she sends him outside to play
Instead of raising Jamal with love
[Refrain 2x]
He’ll never forget this one day
Rashid and Jamal from the cradle to the grave
Together they are strong
Inseperable and never alone
Rashid and Jamals brothers in mind
Rashid’s family does not have a lot of money
Another reason for him to be distressed
He trains hard and sedulously
Because he’s ashamed of wearing the (used) clothes of his bigger brother
Jamal in contrary to him knows how to make money
And get rid of financial problems
He believes he can handle it
He does not care if he needs to break a law
But Rashid wants to achieve something
He has to hang on
Meanwhile Jamal’s complaints pile up
Rashid warns him, listen to my advice
Ok, you’re right, brother, I am not your father
But your best friend who’s always there for you
I care for you so don’t think I babble
But Jamal is a die-hard from an early age on
In at the left side, out at the right side, right, he does not care
[Refrain 2x]
Rashid und Jamal von der Wiege bis ins Grab
Unzertrennlich und nie alleine
One morning Rashid wakes up, not anticipating anything
Gets dressed and goes outside
There the message reaches him instantly
(The message) Which freezes his blood and hits him like a punch
His best friend Jamals has been killed yesterday night by two well known dealers
Chalk-white with tears in the face he swears to Rashid, I’ll kill them
His friends want to talk him out of it
Think about soccer, family, you can’t give up
But Rashid knows Jamal would have done the same
And so he alone makes a plan
He gets on his way the same night
At two in the morning the streets are empty
When he has reached the dealer
He rings at the door under the pretense to buy some pills
He steps into the appartement in rage
He sees the two guys and without further ado
He gets out a pistol, Hello you guys
And shoots with the words, this is for Jamal you f*ckers
