Q.I [English translation]

Even though I've seen a lot of asses

That's his I.Q1 I appreciated

I live the cul ...ture2 shock

The beautiful adventure

Even though I'm in his bed

That's his I.Q binds me

To him for the whole life

Although lonely

And I've seen so many asses

But that's his I.Q had

The last word to have me

There on the diving board

Of course, I saw a lot of twats3

But his I.Q makes me com

...pletely4 steeped in desire

Even though that means dying

His mouth is a sanctuary

The most sacred of prayers

To languish is for me

the worst fright, that's cold

His mouth is a sanctuary

The most sacred of mysteries

He's the angel to me

I tell him softly

He has the curves of a "Rodin"5

I love! It prompts me to ...

He knows the softness of my lower back

That oscillates ...

He feels the warmth of my hands

I love! It prompts him to ...

Long is the road to our pleasures

...Semantics!6

Even though I've seen such cases

His I.Q, I, makes me quiet

In front of such erudition

Dead language7? Nope!

And when I'm in bed

It's his I.Q that reads me

The physics of quantum

As for me, I believe that ...

His mouth is a sanctuary

The most sacred of prayers

To languish is for me

the worst fright, that's cold

His mouth is a sanctuary

The most sacred of mysteries

He's the angel to me

I tell him softly

(×2):

He has the curves of a "Rodin"

I love! It prompts me to ...

He knows the softness of my lower back

That oscillates ...

He feels the warmth of my hands

I love! It prompts him to ...

Long is the road to our pleasures

...Semantics!

(×4):

Your I.Q, my ass is, your I.Q

C.Q.F.D.8

1. "Q" and "Cul" are phonetically the same in French (Cul = Ass), indeed we don't pronounce the last "L" that ends "cul" in French2. "Cul" = Ass in French3. "J'en ai vu des CONS (slang)" - "I've seen (in sense of meet) a lot of IDIOTS (TWATS - slang)" - is mirrored here in connection with the first line of the previous verse: "J'en ai vu des culs" (I've seen a lot of asses). Here, it's in fact a question of taking the exact French etymology of the slang word "con" which means at the base "vagina" (twat/cunt) but which one uses now to designate a stupid person: "Un con" exactly like we do in English with "twat" or "cunt".

This is also why at the end of the song she talks about the passion for "semantics" that she shares with her partner.

Here she expresses her love of words and how one can hide here and there esoteric formulas that even a familiar with the language will have difficulty detecting. Because a lot of French use everyday the slang word "con" without really knowing that means "vagina"4. Here, Mylène Farmer deliberately pauses between the first and the second syllable of the word "complètement" (completely), here again, to mean "CON" (twat or cunt)5. implies a statue of Rodin like the famous "Rodin's thinker" for example.

Auguste Rodin was born in Paris on November 12, 1840, and died in Meudon on November 17, 1917. He's one of the most important French sculptors of the second half of the 19th century. He's also considered the father of modern sculpture.6. See the explanations contained in tag number 37. In French, it's the same word (langue) that's used to describe the appendix of the mouth "the tongue" or to describe a language.

For example, in French we say:

- "Son café était bouillant, il s'est brûlé la LANGUE." (His coffee was boiling, he burned his TONGUE)

or:

- "L'anglais est sa LANGUE native" (English is his native LANGUAGE)

This is why Mylène Farmer has fun with the ambiguity of this double meaning in French.8. C.Q.F.D. Acronym for: "Ce Qu'il Fallait Démontrer" (What had to be demonstrated)
