All the songs that I've heard
All the books that I've read
Told of the love, whose
burning I felt inside
I felt in my mind and put into words
I'm burned by the words I could say
Burned by the words
Those words are unsaid
I'm burned by the words I wouldn't say otherwise1
I'm burned inside, but I'm wordless
I've never had anything in my armpit2
Anything better than my sweat
And there's no heart in front of you
No more timid one
I wrote a song to millions
Filled my drawer
Wrote to others about
how all that to you
is still left unsaid
I'm burned by the words I could say
Burned by the words
Those words are unsaid
I'm burned by the words I wouldn't say otherwise
I'm burned inside, but I'm wordless
I've never had anything in my armpit
Anything better than my sweat
And there's no heart in front of you
No more timid one
I'm burned by the words I could say
Burned by the words
Those words are unsaid
I'm burned by the words I wouldn't say otherwise
I'm burned inside, but I'm wordless
1. Pretty sure the original lyrics are actually "sanat joit' en sanoisi toisin" since as it is, they are entirely ungrammatical.2. In Finnish, 'to have something in your armpit' usually refers to hugging a loved one. A more idiomatic translation would be 'in my arms' but that wouldn't fit the following line.
