He heard her name, he waited for a repetition
He threw into the fire everything he could spare
He stared at her footprints, thirsted for her water
Wandered far in the light of her star
In his fingers the snow turned into steel
And he stood by the river to drink his fill of silence
Wash everything from himself and be alive once again
In order to find her voice, to enter her twilight
To become a traveler on her long road
In his fingers the water turned into smoke
And when his day ended, silent and strange
And his horses for the first time stood at ease
Then the flame of her candles, the rings of her keys
Her marble shoulders, tender as the night
Silently lay down on the stone of his hand
