Denizens of the world
Though known for icy domain
Truly there are those too
That enjoy the sun and surf
For those that huddle close
A blowing blizzard unrelenting
Their young concealed so
Upon parental feet and fat
They walk as if a child learning
Upon the steps of loved ones
And into a foreign land of ice
The bold truth of existence
A snowy playground to explore
For the unwarily foolish, a grave
No room for careless conduct
In a dominion of extremes
A severe lesson beguiled many
That natural selection reigns
Supreme in rules and judgment
But ignorant of this, life goes on
