From a long winter came
This story I tell today
Between the living and the dead
Like an illusion, Paula was growing
Not knowing that in this way, time deceives us
In the evening, I found her sleeping
She slept so much that the wind swept her away
And my baby went, she went very far
And her shadow seems to me like an echo
And I dream of her sad and also laughing
To me she left her memory
Paula was happy, she had a bright mind
She laughed so much that death came to her
Like an illusion, Paula was growing
Not knowing that in this way, time deceives us
From a sad story came
This winter I sing today
