Do not say proffered words
What you do not know, what you do not feel,
For they lead to grievances
That only come because you are lying.
Can't you understand
That in this void the poet
Is able to have the words
But never the right word.
If you hadn't lied there would be
The love that I had so much hoped for,
Of the coldest truth
Of the truth that I want
For it is this cold love
That binds us in anxiety.
There is also heat in the pain
The pain that brings the longing.
