Forcefully you invented your woman
just glued my face there
Called it love, persecuting
but I was nowhere there
I didn't stay and stand as your audience
even though I left, you kept on going
I still heard your voice long after
it was chatting to the cardboard mask
Your empty figure never fills up
maybe that's your mother there after all
Miserable or overwhelming
impossible to fill in the shape
It's clattering, hear now
reading poetry, yelling
Longing for the gazes of an admirer
It's clattering, mouth blaring
The moon of the streetlamp
shining on to every scene
I've already found a sanctuary
and you didn't disturb the peace of it
A long time ago I decided I'd stay with the one
whose eyes found the scared and lonely
past the walls
from behind the survivor's victories
And there you are moving on to the next one
going on like you always do
It's clattering, hear now
reading poetry, yelling
Longing for the gazes of an admirer
It's clattering, mouth blaring
The moon of the streetlamp
shining on to every scene
The next one is already flaring on the road
always a new face to glue on
accidentally stays to hear
your voice echoing in the night
Hear now, hear now
it keeps on going, keeps on going
into a long night
it's yelling, yelling
