This was a carpenter Bear
Who was very poor
He cried because his little bears
would start crying fits from hunger
The magpie stole his hammer,
nails, and handsaw
He cried because he couldn't afford
to buy his tools
"Daddy, I want bread."
"My dear son, there is none."
A lovely and rich Deer
Who heard the Bear's lament
Gave him forty coins
For the tools and materials
And the Bear with his six little bears made bycicles
That had sweet orange wheels and a bugle-horn (beep, beep)
The cats bought all the stock to chase
the little rabbits of the royal palace
And with this sale, he made a fortune
And threw a big feast for the Deer
And today he has such great treasure
That he has given to his little bears
Three full sacks of gold each
A thousand toys, honey, and bread
