He was older than Her,
She was pretty nice.
In Her diminutive body soul was so bright.
They never parted,
Or quarreled over a thing.
"We'll see them becoming
husband and wife",
Everyone thought,
But He was going mad.
She was His only love,
But Hers was flying at night.
He would grief every time when skies went dark,
Staying up, locking doors and windows down.
He would sob drinking on His instant tea,
Every time when She fled at night from Him.
And next dawn She would beg for mercy, and
Swear that flights would never happen again.
He believed, but nights are pretty dim today
And She flew, everything was all the same.
He pleased Her with roses,
Perfume and stuff.
They woud sing together,
Read poems aloud -
It was all losing battle,
And He was so much a fool.
His worst fear was that one night, cruising the sky,
When the moon is full, She would lose her way back
In the end it happened,
The nightmare came true.
For three nights and three days
With no sleep and no meal
He'd been glaring at sky
By the windowsill,
He recited Her name,
Waiting for His love to return.
When the moon started fading, He stepped on the sill,
He jumped up in the air just like She did,
For a moment, he flew like She did,
Before falling down.
And next dawn She would beg for mercy, and
Swear that flights would never happen again.
He believed, but nights are pretty dim today
And She flew, everything was all the same.
And She flew, everything was all the same.
