A thousand christmas lights are being lit

on the Earths dark round

and thousand upon thousands shines

upon the skyes deepblue foundation

and over citys and countrys tonight

the joyfull message of christmas sounds

that the Lord Jesus Christ is born

our saviour and God

Thou star above Bethlehem

oh, let your mild light

shine with hope and peace

into every home and house

In every heart, miserable and dark

send a gentle ray
