In my new room
Sit still
Boxes half-unpacked.
And the wall is bare.
And above me
Lots of loud people drinking beer
Until just past four.
And I'm pissed.
And the mattress itches in the first night without a slatted frame.
I'm not getting any mail yet.
Re-registering is even more stress.
Good thing I'm forgetting about that anyway.
In my new room
Sit still
Boxes, and I don't know what I should do first.
In my new room
In my new room
In my new room
In my new room
Every night I wake up
Because I don't really know the new sounds around me.
And when I finally fall asleep
It's already bright morning
And I have the same worries
As the day before.
I must do a thousand things and I take on way too much.
I've only unpacked, not moved in.
In life I dreamed
How it could look like.
And now the light bulb helps me look for things
Since I still need to find proper places.
In my new room
Sit still
Boxes, and I don't know what I should do first.
In my new room
In my new room
In my new room
In my new room
