The lights go on
in the bar with a sticky floor
like the world was born
in the black emptyness.
With a bang the universe expanded
when the time and the matter took shape
from somewhere came the light
the astounding beauty.
And now when I stagger down the street
I try to understand
how the plants can
make oxygen
How did the lifeless matter change
How did the life ever make it
Why did we rise from the sea,
got the paradise
with all of it's sorrow.
At 4 am
the night is ending and the soul is shattered
The bar's are closed
No direction and everything is atomic
I look to the highness
how far is the star light

How fine life is still
with all of it's sorrow

And there, somewhere far away
other worlds are floating
there the odd creatures
continue to party
Maybe someone there is staggering down the streets
looking at the highness on their way to home
