Your plane is in the sky
Your picture is on my wall
The knife is in my back
The engines are working hard
So that you'll find yourself a new life
Far away from me and what comes with it
Whatever that could come with it
A new love, a new place to rent
For example
I'm watching your contrail1
This is what you've left on the blue sky
And I'm standing on the ground watching
The tip of my boots while drunk
You've burned on me the shadow
Of every moment
We've experienced together
Well, one thing is for sure
Nobody else could ever
Kill me like that
Maybe for us
There's no other way anymore
You've buried me deep
But I'm alive still
And I know one thing for sure
I would do anything for you
I would do anything for you
The picture of your plane
Is on my wall and your knife
Is stuck in my back
The engines are working hard
So that you'll find yourself a new life
As far away from me as possible and what comes with it
Whatever that could come with it
A new love, a new place to rent
Well, one thing is for sure
Nobody else could ever
Kill me like that
Maybe for us
There's no other way anymore
You've buried me deep
But I'm alive still
And I know one thing for sure
I would do anything for you
There are so many problems2in this house
That one more or one less
Won't make much difference, I got drunk on top of that
I don't even know what am I still looking for here
Maybe something new
Maybe just something old
Something that numbs me
Something that will make me dizzy
Well, one thing is for sure
Nobody else could ever
Kill me like that
Maybe for us
There's no other way anymore
You've buried me deep
But I'm alive still
And I know one thing for sure
I would do anything for you
1. Short for "condensation trail" which are line-shaped clouds produced by aircraft engine exhaust.2. Literally "there's so much gas". But not as an abbreviation for "gasoline".
I'm not sure what these lyrics mean. "Gas" in informal Hungarian could mean "bad" or "awkward", something that you disapprove of and have a low opinion of.
