Ever wonder why men betray
One another in indifference
While in captivity, unfree
Like prey before predator
That just await their turn
Their freedom tenuously
If all would charge the beast
Like antelope to a pursuing lion
None would perish at best
The lessen few would fall
But the me first finds its way
To betray the others' near
For the camps have few men
The terminal marches still
And wearing them down so
They can no longer protest
So the charge must be early
Surprised, found unaware
