I saw in the candle light only his hands,
the glow of the cigarette and a beer.
The evening for me was already almost over,
as he turned off the light and came to me.
He simply wanted more than I permitted.
He thought well, in the dark he gets me
And when I robbed him of his last hope,
as I turned around and told him:
One must just accept this life,
simply as it is.
How was it then, my boy,
when you kissed another today?
Because firstly it turns out different
Than, secondly, you thought
One gets in this life
unfortunately, no gifts
He didn’t listen to what I told him.
I thought to myself, from suffering comes wisdom.
And when he inquired as to my way home,
there he was just good enough for me.
He took me with him in his big car,
as a price for that he still wanted to come with me (into my flat).
Given that, I grabbed him firmly by his collar
and put him quite simply outside the door.
He did not give up and ran behind me
but I was, thank God, much faster than him.
I quickly turned off the light.
He didn’t see the stairs.
He ranted and stumbled out.
