They took his house and his garden from him
in the name of the great Holiness
so Judas began playing hide and seek
with the mirror and his dignity
Then came God, he who gives and takes everything
he called a taxi and let his wife get in it
and Judas went to die in the night
killed by wine, women and blows.
Magdalene took him by his jacket
She lived in the wrecked slums
in the midst of a community of alcoholics
who believed in a heavenly kingdom
And it was love and revolution
Long talks about the road and fully-lived life
but Judas, more than any other sermon
loved Magdalene's sweet moans.
The worst then went down in one night
Judas was caught and thrown in jail
Jesus Christ had run away amongst the crowd
and Judas said he knew nothing about it.
but when he saw Magdalene in the parlor
she was sick, she lost a tooth
The inspector said "it was Jesus Christ,
he brought here all the opium from the East"
and he came back to his love with the loot:
"thirty dinars for seven shots, Marsala, thank you"
then he read, written twice at the ticket office
the sign of a big multiplex
It said "Jesus Christ at the station"
a brand new, indeed moving movie
with a truly extraordinary cast:
there was also the Almighty God!
The cinema is a dark bulk of people
the great actors are stars to gaze at
therefore no one saw, down under, between the seats
that those two began to fuck.
"Magdalene, I love you so much
he wanted heaven and I want to stay here
let them kill him, it's fine
after all, he told everyone he would resurrect.
But my only heaven is in your hips
sweet breasts for worn out eyes
soft, red sugary lips
How beautiful is this earthly life."
From the screen, God saw them and raised his voice:
"I'll throw my bolts at you, Judas Iscariot.
My son is dying on the cross
and it's such an idiotic mortal's fault."
And then Magdalene stood up and yelled from the top of her heart:
"God, I'm not afraid of you
You, who made a son without making love,
what can you know about this all?
Let Judas be and look somewhere else
here, look down my neckline
and I'll preserve myself from your envy
because God can't enjoy himself like a creature."
God ran away in heaven, and out of rage
put on a huge yard
to build a powerful court
that could shut Magdalene up.
Judas and Magdalene, they're still together
and they roam around, hidden amongst the crowd
and they go down the river to make love
on a little boat that sails upstream.
