I walked in the world where shadows lied
Where dreams were born with hopes that died
A place that death has hidden woeful strife
Where graves unkept bring forth its life
With topo map in hand and a reconning intent
Guided on by the souls' forgotten extent
To a place amid the reeds a shoulder tall
There disguised in natural camo sprawl
Alone, no mortal companions to break silence
Save the somber spectacle in awed reverence
Found amid the stones in oblivion's bowers
The elements inevidably erasing resting rowers
A faceless landscape inhabited by spectral nuance
This place infested by feelings unresolved of wants
That anonimity of the eons that will unceasingly
Eroding existance, toils, aspiriations, decreasingly
None can expect to be known forever giving
To be reexposed to the troubles of living
Days limited, brief in the realm of history
A lifetime known, an eternal mystery
This uncivilized region featureless
Lest cemetaries abandoned measureless
Towns razed by war and persistent progress
Their bonds broken by contention's congress
Nature reclaims what men have cast aside
Even their once endeared mortal relics now hide
Wind and sand, rain and rot now lay claim
To those places that today have no name
