I'm going to tell you
what happens in my bed,
when it's already night
and I lie down without...
without feeling sleepy,
so I count a thousand sheep,
and I dream about a crisis
in the third world.
About a bunch of
sloppy sheep,
that were controlled
by a dog, who was a dog,
and that dog,
such an animal,
was eaten by the wolf
on Christmas.
What I can't understand
is: how, if they're a thousand sheep,
they're scared so much
by one little crazy
and very dumb wolf?
[chorus] The sheep skip around
inside the farmyard.
The sheep skip and skip around,
skip around the sheep,
skip around the sheep,
in the same place!
All female sheep are so so lost,
because they don't know a single thing
about life.
They only want to be kept.
Then they're full of babies
and there's no way out.
What I can't understand
is: how, if they're a thousand sheep,
they're scared so much
by one little crazy
and very dumb, harsh wolf?
[chorus]
One little sheep, two little sheep,
three little sheep jumping.
Six little sheep, ten little sheep
skip around and get tired.
A thousand little sheep jump without moving forward!
[chorus]
Every fifteen days, they get wool1,
but they drink a lot, so they're left with nothing,
and they daydream about leaving the farmyard,
and about having enough money to go skiing.
1. "Lana" (wool) in spanish is a slang word for money.
