Words: Panos Falaras
Music: Marita Rossi
I was born without being asked
And I thought my lullabies
Would be the truthful and soulful songs,
But instead, I was given false tales
I grew up and faced the real world
But I found that all the roads are blocked
They said the life belongs to me
But did not let me spread my wings
I realized before I turned twenty
That I must win sooner then lose.
And not to become a pawn on the chessboard
I became free like the wind
I was promised a lot and was given nothing
But I was getting stronger, even through the pain
Everything I loved was taken of me
But not my soul, and I was not defeated.
I was born without being asked
They wanted to keep me in their prison
And to cast me into the idol of their kind,
May be a bit better then them.
Years passed but I did not live
I was trying to find myself
So, before to reach my thirties and go mad
I decided to take my life in my hands
