At the foot of a blossomed lemon tree
one night that in life I will forget
to a vain and conceited fellow
a girl gave him all her love
she believed all his promises and didn"t see the falsehood
and she drowns in the torment of feeling abandoned
And in the shade of that lemon tree
that one day saw her smiling happily,
pulling the troubles off one by one
same as a rose which sang her so:
Lemon,
ay, Lemon, lemon tree!
at your side a false and deceitful
young fellow told her
"more than anybody that I loved in the world
I love you,highlander.
Have mercy on me, calm my pain".
Ay, Lemon, lemon tree,
lemon tree of my heart.
By roads planted with bluebery bushes
she started to roll with the weight of her pain
and suffocated by the bitterness of her sorrows
she could neither forget nor forgive
But over the years
the curse became real
that another female so betrays him
the same as he betrayed.
And in the shade of that lemon tree
that blossomed and dried with time
today he was seen crying for his shame
for a disappointment, punishment of god.
Lemon,
ay, Lemon, lemon tree!
at your side a false and deceitful
young fellow told her
"more than anybody that I loved in the world
I love you,highlander.
Have mercy on me, calm my pain".
Ay, Lemon, lemon tree,
lemon tree of my heart.
