At the station, one July evening
He asked them their names,
even though he already knew them.
He filled the suitcases and gifts,
he the horses loose,
the cousins were coming.
At dinner, they kept looking at him
Sometimes you're alright,
but you talk a lot of crap.
During the dance, they took him by the hand
They told us there's a river
and they said you'd show us!
Oh! The moon is a wolf that roams the paths
shining silver on the undergrowth.
Three shadows without trousers are going to jump in to find out
how the water of the gorge is!
And it was good! It had to be said that it was good!
When he wanted to talk
about a love he had.
First light dried out their skin.
"When everything's less serious," they said
"and dramatic, let us know..."
At the station, one July evening
he said their name
and swallowed his saliva.
Life has been bloody and brief
But, how to live well, lad,
the cousins knew that.
The cousins knew that,
The cousins knew that,
how to live well, comrade,
the cousins knew that.
