[Refrain : Abou Tall & Dadju]
I am tired
Of seeing that time has erased nothing
What should I do to redeem myself?
Of all the errors
That time, time, time will not erase.
[Couplet 1 : Abou Tall]
I am not certain that I love myself
I am even convinced
Of the difficulty of asking for forgiveness
So I find excuses for myself
And I try to think of the happiness of old
And often, I remember that I remember more
I've seen leave from my life and that erases you
Time and resentment only drive us apart
Time will erase nothing and will not appease me
If my mother dies with grudges against me
Nothing changes
Neither failures, nor errors, I fear them all the same
As if it were like it was before
A stone as a heart
A laugh by way of crying
And conscience elsewhere [or?] here
Nothing changes
And this, despite the seconds and the hours
Alone in the world and according to the trials
One never looks at success like one sees our defeats
Time does not erase our regrets; it takes [it] with us
[Refrain : Abou Tall & Dadju]
[Couplet 2 : Dadju]
Run after time to camouflage my faults
One sees not time that has passed, but time passes on to something else
It's exhausting to be a man, prisoner of these thoughts
I want to be a man who stops thinking about it
Return to zero, is only but a mirage
In learning of my faults, I become wiser
I plan out more my future, my lifetime is falsified
Do these tears clean broken hearts?
I move forward
I don't promise yesterday, but I advance in the perspective of doing better than yesterday
I move forward
Time will remain neutral between the crib and the cemetery
Whatever happens, I move forward
Time saw us become born, grow up
We will die accepting the wrongdoings of a lifetime
[Refrain : Abou Tall & Dadju]
