Just like his father
Little Jean-Pierre
Was a fan
A fan of Superman
He used to collect
Every comic book
Where he could see his hero
Fly like a bird
Jean-Pierre was to turn eight yesterday
And his parents were so proud of him
They decided to take
For his birthday
A quick trip to New York
The city of Superman
From their hotel room
At the fiftieth floor of the Waldorf
The sight was so beautiful
That they spent their first eve
To watch
The lights of Manhattan
The day after
They took a walk on Broadway
Hand in hand
Like in a fairytale
And in a shop
Where you can buy everything
Jean-Pierre was offered by his father
A Superman's suit
On that very night
He wanted to wear it
As a pajama
To dream better
But when his parents
Fell asleep
Close to him in the large bed
He quietly got up
He opened the window
And when he saw the lights
Of Manhattan appear
He wanted to fly away
In the starlit night
Like a gliding bird
That's just yesterday
They laid him to rest
Jean-Pierre
Superman's son
