Just like hanging by a thread
In changing times
I learned to stand up for myself
I couldn't just give up, could I?
Once I couldn't cry
Now I'm fighting for all the things I swear I wouldn't want to lose
And you can count my tears
Just a little bit of what I haven't brought up yet
Get drunk from your wine glass
And my crying, that's the way you'll know
That everybody makes mistakes from time to time
And it's not that easy
To reconsider this, I guess I could
I would have shown my face and poured my soul into it
As well as sleepless nights, awaiting better days to come
We all feel vulnerable from time to time
And yet we must fight for everything we wouldn't want to lose!
You can count my tears
Just a little bit of what I haven't brought up yet
Yeah, my crying that way
You'll just know
That everybody hurts from time to time
And we're human, it's understandable
And I've had to stand up for what I feared I'd end up losing
You can count my tears
Just a little bit of what I haven't brought up yet
You can lick this face of mine dry, every drop that will fall from the sky
And, you know, not all people know how to cry.
