They say that a legend emerged in Babylon,
they say that beneath the sky a tower was raised
and that a righteous God descended to earth and destroyed it.
When they built it, they were blinded by ambition,
to reach up high and challenge their God,
and Heaven's punishment was to confound their speech.
And the tower grazed the clouds
as a sign of their ambition,
but a God took revenge and broke the structure,
the tower of Babel.
Only ruins remained, death and devastation,
they have paid a great price for playing God,
and in the name of the Father, look towards the sky
they ask for forgiveness.
Black clouds lie in wait over humanity,
high up, a warning of a fatal fate
and on earth, blood gathers on the stones of vanity.
And the tower grazed the clouds
as a sign of their ambition,
but a God took revenge and broke the structure,
the tower of Babel.
