La risposta dell'architetto [English translation]

I only know one *** 1

The one that comes out of my *** after I've put it into your ***

Dear Marcio, you're Mondo 2

But I am too, in the sense that I'm not unclean 3

I work ten hours every day

I work my *** off and then I go back home

My sons ask me "how are you, pa'?" 4

And I: "quite good"

Because they were born from my ***

And to do something like this it takes some guts

Dear Mondo, I am pa' and my wife is ma'

I go back home and I see my so' 5

I hadn't seen them since Tuesday

Because my sons are *** 6

But not in the sense that you mean, Marcio

But rather I mean the one that comes out of my ***

The one I spill, to fill the world with my so'

And if you don't believe me, come here

To buy some of my ***

If you've got the guts

Now excuse me, but I have to go have *** with my wif' 7

To try have other so'

Who will grow up and become bros

[My] mission in this world is to build houses 8

And put bros in them

Bros that are forced by this society to stay in the streets, from dawn to dusk

Fuck the streets

Long live the house

Which contains bros

Like animals in captivity

This *** society

Which force you to invoice

I'd like to work "in black" 9

Black like this track, that lasts until I get back home

I take out my ***

And the *** comes out

You talk about stamina

But I answer with "stàminchia" 10

Because when I see my wife, who's an archaeologist

She often discovers Roman remains

They're shards, bones

Millions of bros buried in the same grave

And what was Julius Caesar

If not another bro

Killed by Bru' 11

Fuck Bru'

You say "the child will pay for the guilt of the parents" 12

But this time you're wrong

If you think carefully, you'll see that it's the parents who pay for guilt of their son

But if we want to be accurate, he wasn't even his pa'

Because he was adopt'

And what's, whatthefuuuck 13

And there's something I want to say to all bros and fras 14

Let's leave this *** place, and let's go live in Bra

Bra, with 28.000 inhabitants continuously rising,

Is the third city for its populat*** 15 size in Cuneo's province

Fuck the populat*** size

Geogra***lly speaking, it's the province barycenter

Fuck the barycenter

Even if it's less than 50 km away from Turin

Regional capital of the Piedmont

The only reason I like Bra a bit less

It's because Bra in English means *** 16

And I want to take the *** off

When I go and ***

I rip it off with my teeth

She says "good boy"

And then I put my *** inside of her

Big and ***

Inside of ***, and she says *** 17

Sodom and Gomorrah

Let's go to Andorra

But always passing through Bra

My new land

Bra like Sion, in opposition to Babylon

My interest consists in the fact that Bra

Is full of agricultural lands

That the city council is about to declare buildable

And so I can win the tender

And I build houses for bros and fras 14

Beautiful houses in the city of Bra

Bra, Bra, Bra...

1. a number of words are censored in this song, as a parody of all the censorship imposed especially on rap songs. In this case the bleeped word is "spaccio", which commonly means "drug dealing", but in this case is a slang for "sperm". The "drug dealing" is a reference to the "Dentro alla scatola" song (see note below).2. reference to the nickname of an Italian rapper, who in 2006 wrote the song "Dentro alla scatola" ("Inside the box"). The song talks about the rapper's troubled childhood, his divorced parents, his problems with drugs and justice.3. "Mondo Marcio" means "Rotten World", but there's a pun on the word "mondo", which also means "clean".4. short for "papà", which means "dad" in Italian. This song makes fun of the abbreviations commonly used by rappers and young people, an influence from the slang used in the English-speaking world, such as "bro" for "brother".5. i.e. "sons". In the Italian lyrics the word "figli" is abbreviated with "fi'", which isn't actually used, it's just a parody of the rap slang (see previous note).6. the censored word here is "spaccio" (see first note).7. i.e. "wife".8. the singer, Luca Mangoni, is actually an architect (hence the name of the song). He's always been part of the group (the "Elio e le Storie Tese"), contributing with ideas, off-key backing vocals and funny dances during live concerts.9. in Italian, "work in black" ("lavorare in nero") means working "under the counter".10. "stamina" is a word used by rapper Mondo Marco in his aforementioned song. This is a pun on the word "sta minchia" (lit. "this dick"), which is a vulgar way to answer to an excessive request or statement.11. reference to Brutus, the adoptive son of Julius Caesar, who joined in his assassination.12. famous (mis)quote from the Bible (Ezekiel 18, 20), also quoted by Mondo Marcio in his song.13. probably just an outtake inserted in the song beacause it was funny.14. a. b. here the singer uses both the English word "bro" and the Italian equivalent "fra" (from "fratello").15. the end of the word "demografica" has been ironically bleeped out because it ends with "fica", which means "pussy" in Italian. The same goes for the next two bleeps.16. in Italian, it says "reggi***", i.e. "reggiseno" with the word "seno" ("bosom") ironically bleeped out.17. because it rhymes with the next verse, "Gomorra", it is possible to deduce that this bleeped word is "sborra" ("cum!").
