Joy everywhere around me
Preaching alone in the desert
Where I see disarray
Others see a human interest story
The worst of all is being misunderstood
Being seen as a pain in the ass or an idiot
Or seeing, in the regard of others,
Something like a hint of derision
But let's not lower our heads
We will never be satisfied
By a restricted life
Incomplete
By the solitary destiny of a prisoner
How to remain unmoved
In the face of servility
Because he who wants to be a free man
Must make up his mind at some point
When I see this fraud
This world of consumption
Reducing the human being and the human condition to a pushcart
But let's not lower our heads
We will never be satisfied
By a restricted life
Incomplete
By the solitary destiny of a prisoner
Am I a simple consumer
Rather than a humble citizen?
Am I a seller
Before even being a believer?
My life is full of passion
And I leave to my detractors
Their complexes and their frustrations
Me, I'll take authentic happiness.
But let's not lower our heads
We will never be satisfied
By a restricted life
Incomplete
By the solitary destiny of a prisoner
And against this superficial world
I bring profundity
Against pleasant and frivolous hypocrisy (hypocrisy in lace)
I bring the weight of righteousness
