[1st Verse]
I trusted you so much; you told me about love,
You had been sending me flowers, kissing my hands,
When we were alone;
Turns out you gave your promises not just to me.
I've seen everything yesterday, and it was as if
My love died in my eyes.
[Pre-Chorus:]
I'll wipe my tears; I'll become beautiful;
Today, I want to be happy.
[Chorus:]
I'm the queen of the night — tonight, for sure;
I don't hide my eyes, I won't cry anymore.
You're free now,
Do what you want; farewell!
I'll be the queen of the night tonight.
And this means I will forget you for sure;
You're free now,
You're no longer fashionable; get out!
[2nd Verse]
And later we'll go our ways. Phone-calls.
My person you're calling to is forever unavailable1
Don't write or call me,
I've lived through it, and I'm not coming back;
You've shown everything, and you've lost me;
I won't be tricked again.
[Pre-Chorus:]
I'll wipe my tears; I'll become beautiful;
Today, I want to be happy.
[Chorus: x2]
I'm the queen of the night — tonight, for sure;
I don't hide my eyes, I won't cry anymore.
You're free now,
Do what you want; farewell!
I'll be the queen of the night tonight.
And this means I will forget you for sure;
You're free now,
You're no longer fashionable; get out!
1. It's a pun: she uses the stock phrase «абонент временно недоступен» 'the person you're calling is temporarily unavailable' (you hear then you dial a turned-off phone), but adds «мой» 'my': «мой абонент» 'my person you're calling'. As if her ex doesn't call her, but 'her person', someone else. /////// This can be interpreted that she became a different person, so her past self is not unavailable when her ex tries to call her.
