that's when I'm in my element.
How I rush to the gas station
for coffee and cigarettes,
and then back on the gas -
I love the way I blow away the Benz!
I'm almost a Formula One Driver:
King of the Road!
The left lane is rarely free -
I signal to the left and pass to the right.
But I'll only be a real terror
in a dismal traffic jam and drive
200 km/h -
why is the breakdown lane there?
Please don't call me a slob,
King of the Road!
Privately I'm nice and helpful.
In the car I turn into Mr. Hyde.
I say "hello" politely
before I run you into a ditch!
But I don't think there's anything special about it,
I'm a totally normal German man,
I'm just an Autobahn despot -
King of the Road!
It doesn't make a lot of sense,
but it's in my genes.
The car is the weapon of the small man:
The bigger the car, the smaller the ego...
I love the Autobahn,
and I love to drive.
