One day there came to the village a tarantula-woman
and everybody run to have a look.
Some threw bread at her (1) and some cast stones
to spare themselves her ugliness.
And a child gifted her a red flower, a child.
A child asked her to sing a song, a child.
And she said 'never let them know
how ugly they all look
those who despise you
yet stand and stare.'
And she said 'never look
another in the eye
because you turn into a mirror
and everybody breaks you into pieces.'
One day there came to the village a wounded angel.
They brought him in a cage
and people bought tickets bewildered,
to look upon his beauty.
And a child, like a teardrop beautiful little angel, a child,
a child asked him to sing a song, a child.
And he said 'if you want to save yourself
from your beauty,
take an axe and sword
and clip your wings.'
And he said 'never look
another in the eye
because you turn into a mirror
and everybody breaks you into pieces.'
