The sky is starting to turn red, it knows what to expect
when the bows of ships glow at the docking station
They are resting like wounded animals, so tired,
so the surrounded city wakes in their last morning
Soon the figures of winged oxes march from the night of times
From the night of ancient mists, from the darkness of nightmares.
Soon the skies will open up, horde of angels will storm down,
arms full of lightnings, justice shining in their eyes.
The king leans on his golden hand in the depths of his metaltower,
his gaze like a flame of the sun, soulless, pale, undying.
Now on the day of defeat, under the judgement he's looking down at his kingdom
and with stony expressions he quotes an old story to the empty walls:
refrain:
Beyond the lightwall, out of speed's reach
There mirrors smoke above the universe
Beyond the lightwall, out of speed's reach
there lives the emptiness which unites us.
The air of the room quivers and the shadows at the corridors flicker,
a figure is waiting in the darkness; silence, even it quiets down.
At last the voices ring in common frequency
and speak like a voice of a final winner speaks:
"You were the king of the worlds, behind them you were holding the strings,
You were the ruler, your wish could end a life,
or give it a permission to continue.
In the end of the day even the king is as weak as anybody else,
soon you shall fall on your face and you want to save even the last one."
Is the world limited, we its prisoners;
Then god is behind it all.
Or is it limitless, without borders,
then we are alone, free...
So what to do, when you know that the story is ending
Be wise, give a place to stand, and I will crank the world out of its place.
Beyond the lightwall, out of speed's reach
There live those memories that build us
Beyond the lightwall, out of speed's reach
there lives the time which prepares for this moment
refrain
"My grave is guarded by a slight breeze,
My grave is guarded by a drop of morning dew,
My grave is guarded by 100 000 killersatellites,
My grave is guarded by 1000 tons of antimatter"
